KIVA – Loans that change lives
Gloria's story
Gloria works hard to support five children. She is married and has a business farming vegetables in the Philippines.
She requested a loan of 8,000 PHP through NWTF ( part of the International Labour Organisation) to build a sanitary toilet for her family.
Gloria is aware that by using the sanitary toilet, she is reducing health risks and hazards to her family and neighbours as well as promoting environmental protection.
Why did we choose Gloria?
It is always difficult to choose who we lend to as there are so many deserving people who need these loans however Gloria’s Story really caught our eye – Can you imagine not having a sanitary toilet for you and your family?
It’s a basic facility we all have in our lives and take for granted.
Gloria needed $75 towards the $175 it will cost to complete her project, this morning we have lent her that $75 so she can now start work to build that Sanitary toilet for her family.
Something so basic is going to make such a huge difference to their lives.
Team Synchro are proud to support Kiva.

Vinuela
Vinuela is a municipality in Southern Spain – not too far from Malaga.
Apart from the scenery the area is dominated by a large man made reservoir known as Lake Vinuela. I believe it was made about 50 years ago by damming local rivers.
