Howdy from Texas where it has been unseasonably warm for January and February!
It was so warm over the weekend that I put on my short pants and short sleeve t-shirt, rolled up my sleeves, and did pressure washing around the house under a 75f blue sunshine sky!
Here at Synchro ERP, everyone has rolled up their sleeves as we are good and busy!
Global
As I type this, Jean-Marie is in India at a foundry show and then will be visiting customers, our frequent traveler Simon is in Michigan with customers, and Daniel is preparing for a trip to the USA!
The huge benefit of being a global business is our ability to be doing business where the industry is on the up, markets have a natural ebb and flow and unless you have the man power to deal with a wider market getting stuck in these endless recessions must be a big concern to many business's who do not or cannot expand.
New Business
Already this year we have added 5 new customers to our rolls with the potential of a very large group Implementing Synchro . Its exciting times here at Synchro HQ. Also, on the horizon is the exhibition / conference in the UK for Foundry Work Shop UK held this year in historic Warwick and the infamous CastExpo 2016 up in the north country of Minneota. Chris, Simon, Daniel, and myself will be manning the booth so be sure to stop on by and learn about all of the good stuff we have to offer the metalcaster.
Here are the latest release from the SYNCHRO team

3 SYNCHRO's Latest Ruby Edition is Released - Celebrating Our 40th Anniversary
The Ruby edition of the software has rolled out which will make navigating the menus and screens much more efficiently, new customization options are to say the least "wild". Ultra modern it's like the old short cuts on steroids. Not to worry, the final "cutover" is not until August, so all of the customers and users have plenty of time to make the transition. Of course, the crackerjack support team is here to assist with the transition. In addition, Ruby brings to the table departmental level security and enhanced user security to meet the ever increasing needs of our customers that are in sensitive industries such as DoD, aerospace, defense, and nuclear. There has already been two webinars on the new Ruby to assist everyone in learning what it is all about and more are being scheduled for the coming weeks and months.

Shane's Blog - September 2016
Howdy once again from Texas where it’s blazing hot, so hot they are melting iron in the parking lot and the local pancake house is cooking eggs on the hoods of cars! What the heck, one wouldn’t expect anything else in Texas this time of the year other than lack of rain and excessive heat. Myself, I’ll take the heat over the cold anytime as we have chilled air in Texas!
SYNCHRO ERP’s global implementation manager was recently flying from Seattle to Newark and I tracked the flight using the wonders of the Wild West Web. Sometimes we just need to sit back and reflect on all the wonders of what the internet has brought to us. Not that long ago, if one wanted a flight status; the only option was to call the airline. Today, with all of the interconnectivity of the “dots” everything is seemingly in real time.

Bite Size - Weld Log Module
The Weld Log module enables Companies to track welding carried out on a casting (unique ID/Serial Number), by Job Number or Part Number. This will record the welder name, position of the weld on the casting, type or welding rods used, batch(s) of weld rod, quantity (& Weight) of rods used. A weld map, or multiple maps if tracked by job or part, can also be attached to show visually where each weld occurred. The welder will have access to the welding specifications stored against the part to make sure the weld falls within one of the specifications.
